Cross Point Culture
Our Plan

At Cross Point Church, we believe that churches can sometimes get a little complicated and it can be hard to get to know people. That's why we believe that we should make it as easy as possible for people to get to know one another. This takes an intentional strategy, but thankfully, God has already given us that strategy. It is found in Acts 2:42-47. We summarize it like this:

Everybody, everyday devoting themselves to:

God's Word
God's People
Intentional Relationships
Prayer

Pretty simple right? In the 2nd chapter of Acts, we read of an amazing event in the history of the Church. It's really the beginning of the Church when God pours out his Spirit on all mankind. What happened after that was pretty amazing. It all happened in Jerusalem, a multi-cultural, multi-ethnic city, very much like many of the large urban populations of the world today.

God's Spirit came upon his disciples like a mighty wind that was so powerful, people came from all over the city to witness it. When they got there, they found Jesus' disciples preaching to them in their own language, a language that the disciples had not previously known. This was a miracle! The story goes on to say that 3,000 people believed in Jesus that day alone. What happens next is even more amazing.

We read in Acts 2:42-47 that people continued to meet together everyday. They would study God's word together, worship together, share a meal together, take care of the poor together, pray together and get to know each other; everybody, everyday. And the miracle that is mentioned at the beginning of the story is not mentioned in that particular context again. That means that people from at least fifteen different ethnicities, speaking at least fifteen different languages came together and got to know one another's culture and language. Amazing! Cross Point Church is committed to that type of singular culture; an environment where people of different ethnicity and culture can come together with a singular devotion to God's word, God's people, intentional relationships, and prayer; everybody, everyday.
